1800s style house, close proximity to waterfront, easy access to dining options
The building has old floorboards that creak with every step!!! A little soundproofing would go a long way to improve guests' comfort, especially at night when everyone is navigating the hallways!!!

Couples looking for charm
The warm fireplace in the lobby was inviting, set against the backdrop of interesting antiques. Jeff at the front desk, like we were guests in his cozy abode. We even dined nearby under the warmth of an outdoor heater, so peaceful.
The rate felt a bit steep, still, I would say it was acceptable.

I enjoyed a charming and professionally run hotel that seemed like a private guest house. The location is excellent, being within walking distance to the downtown area and the harbor pier. The heritage building is fully modernized yet maintains a traditional aesthetic. My room was spacious and had a lovely screened porch looking out to a naturalized garden. Plus, the continental breakfast was good with fresh fruit salad and eggs made to order, accompanied by great coffee.
The only downside was the occasional noise from nearby trains, which might disrupt light sleepers.
